SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) is a state funded program administered by SSIC. Trained volunteers are available to provide you with objective information about insurance options that may be right for your circumstances. They help you understand what choices you have so you can act on your own behalf.

SHIBA volunteers cannot make choices for you, nor can they make house calls. If you, or someone you care for, needs additional insurance help beyond what SHIBA volunteers are able to provide, you can contact any of our Information & Assistance specialists.
