Senior Nutrition Counselors offer education in nutritional facts, eating habits, nutrients, allergies, and weight management. They work with seniors to develop dietary choices appropriate to their needs and circumstances.

Debra Metz, Nutrition Director for Senior Services of Island County, offers nutritional counseling as part of the COPES Program set of services.

COPES (Community Options Program Entry System) is focused on home care for seniors. Assessment for eligibility is made through DSHS specialists that operate through our senior centers.
