For  families providing full-time in-home care for a senior adult, we can help . . .

What do you, the caregiver, need?

  • Occasional free time?
  • Freedom from concerns and challenges of caregiving for even just a few hours?
  • Freedom to be you, just you for awhile?

Please remember asking for help is a strength and not a weakness . . .

Contact an Adult Day Services staff member at Senior Services Island County (360) 321-1600 or 678-3373 or 279-4592and we will happy to provide you with more information.

Adult Day Services is funded partially by the Northwest Regional Council through Senior Citizens Services Act monies. We are also appreciative of the community volunteer efforts in funding and supporting the delivery of this vital service.

What do people at Adult Day Services do?

We spend our days together in a variety of activities designed to maintain or improve physical and mental well-being and to provide a community of belonging. Activities include reminiscing and memory stimulation, music, crafts, assistance with daily living skills, community outings, exercise, and entertainment.

Participation is geared toward individual interests and abilities.

How do people benefit by going to Adult Day Services?

Participants typically experience improved physical strength and overall attitude. We frequently see remarkable changes in participants' self-esteem, enjoyment, and interest in daily life. Caregivers benefit by having a break from the demands of care giving. Often, Adult Day Services makes it possible for participants to continue living in a home setting for a longer time.
